Baking with our 100-year-old sourdough starter takes time, but the result is worth every minute. The slow fermentation process unlocks incredible flavors in our bread that you simply can't get with industrial yeast. We also use only the highest quality, fresh flour – some sourced from Strömsbergin Mylly in Porvoo, and ascorbic acid-free wheat and rye flour from Helsingin Mylly – to ensure our sourdough performs perfectly.

Every Bread Tells a Story
With a background in the restaurant world, our previous owner has always been passionate about baking and the magic it brings. About 10 years ago, they inherited a sourdough starter from their stepmother’s family in Savo. This starter, affectionately named Helvi, is over a century old. A few years ago, Helvi gave rise to a lighter sourdough, named Pena, and since then, there’s been no stopping it. And we PROUDLY will continue keep this tradition alive. Each of our breads is handcrafted with care, and every loaf is truly one of a kind.
Suorama
A delightful Finnish-French country bread, which gains structure and character not only from quality wheat flour but also from rye and light bread flour. This bread won the silver medal e in the Artisanal Food Championships 2022 in the Other Sourdough Breads category.
